In Uganda, the economic and existential hardship of the people has worsened due to the corona pandemic and the effects of the war in Ukraine. This is having a particular impact on the situation at St. Francis Hospital Mutolere.

The hospital tries to take care of people's needs in a holistic way. It not only provides medical care for the sick but also - as best as possible - addresses their social needs.

For example, all incoming patients will be treated, even if they cannot pay the treat-ment costs.

The hospital is always caught between profitability and the necessary help for the sick. As a result, there is often a large gap there.

If possible, we try to close this gap in the hospital a little.
