When we walk through the town of Kisoro and its surroundings, we as white people are begged daily by groups of wandering children:
>Muzungu, give me money!<
These children have lost their homes and often their families. The reasons for this are varied;
AIDS death or illness of parents, financial, material and social collapse of one's own family are the main reasons.
With our help, St. Francis Mutolere Hospital has set up a charity committee to support these children and their families.
Since the end of 2021, we have been finding sponsors who enable these children and their families to build a future. Above all, the children need food, schooling and caregivers who will take personal care of them.
For example, there are the sisters Sarah and Dorcus, 6 and 11 years old.Her father left the family alone. Her mother and the children were driven away by her father's family. Today they live in a dilapidated hut with a leaky roof. When it rains, they stand all night to avoid getting wet and cold. They only get food when their mother can earn some money doing odd jobs.
Fortunately, we were able to find sponsors for the sisters who help them go to school and get a hot meal every day.
Another way to support and stabilize not only the children themselves but also their families is through family sponsorship.
If you would like to give a child or his family a new chance at life, please contact us!!!
